Meet Dr. Miles Bodzin
Miles Bodzin, DC

Dr. Miles Bodzin currently presides as Clinical Director of The Chiropractic Wellness Center located in Tierrasanta (San Diego, Ca). Born in Hollywood, Florida, he moved to San Diego in 1984 after spending three months on a high school exchange program in Israel.

One day early in 1990, Dr. Miles woke up and decided that his field of study, Electrical Engineering, just wasn't exciting him anymore. Although he was familiar with chiropractic (he went to his first chiropractor as a child after injuring his neck and getting no relief with traditional medical care), he hadn't ever considered chiropractic as a career.

Coincidentally, at this very time that he decided to make a study change, he was inspired by a chiropractor. Dr. Miles said it hit him right between the eyes.

His wife, Mechelle, said he came home and nervously said, "what do you think about me becoming a chiropractor?" Literally, the next day Dr. Miles dropped his engineering courses (with only a year to graduate) and finished his chiropractic prerequisites at San Diego State University.

Dr. Miles attended the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic from September 1990 to December 1993. Looking back on the experience, he says it was one of the most grueling, yet exciting programs he's ever experienced. Mechelle says all she could remember about Miles' time in school was, "lots of studying!". Dr. Miles became known as 'Miles Notes' - he was the class note taker. Today he laughs, saying, "to this day, when LACC students find out I'm Miles Notes, they suddenly start treating me like some famous author. It's really kind of funny. In fact, I believe to this day, those notes are still floating around the campus."

On December 18, 1993, Dr. Miles graduated Sigma Cum Laude. He then had a preceptorship in El Cajon, Ca followed by a postceptorship in Santee, Ca. He went on to the UCSD School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics to become certified in Spinal Rehabilitation with the use of Medx equipment.

After receiving his California license in 1994, he purchased the San Diego based office where he currently practices. He said he immediately changed the name to the 'Chiropractic Wellness Center' because he wanted a name that reflected his practice views. His primary specialty is 'wellness & prevention'. He laughs saying, "when I got my office dba, there wasn't a single business registered in San Diego with 'wellness' in its name. Now it's everywhere. I guess I was just a bit ahead of my time."
